I'm sorry if you read my post as if I was questioning your statements, not my intention. I was simply providing my experience.

Took no offense at all and read nothing into your post. Just explaining why I noticed the difference in the holding power of the units. If I lived at this elevation when I first got the VAC SYS, I would have had nothing to compare to.

The salesmen who sold me the CNC has stated more than once he wishes we were closer to sea level it would make his life easier.

Well, since we're talking SYS-VACs and maybe a cheaper alternative, I noticed yesterday that Paul B Hardware in Pennsylvania has a special for the DeWalt Grabo DCE5928 with both a Foam Rubber Lift Seal and a 20V 2Ah battery for $260. But I was curious to confirm the price difference with the regular Grabo (typically $200) and then came across this Clearance Deal at Lowe's: $79!

Ran out to a local Lowe's and got the Grabo for $85 with tax.

I have an idea to add some accessories to the Grabo that will allow me to orient the Grabo in a manner similar to the SYS-VAC, but in more compact form.

I'd probably just get the Kouros Tools vac system if I wasn't printing my own. Grabbo (which I have one) retrofitted seems like such a kluge.

I can get that, the large vac table I use for my CNC has astounding holding power under machining load. The smaller pads like in the VAC SYS would be insanely useful for general woodworking.

With two head units I can work on large panels. I also have all four of the different vacuum cups. The different sizes and shapes of the vacuum cups makes it extremely versatile for almost any size and shape of part.

Here's the original price when it was released in the US in 2016 and here's also the price when it was discontinued in 2021. Originally, the $1800 price tag in 2016 seemed steep however now the final price of $1375 in 2021 seems like a steal.

Cheese, the prices you showed are what I paid. I bought the VAC SYS System (pump, foot valves and SE1 head unit to start) first. I liked it and found lots of uses. Then I bought the second head unit (SE2) and the accessory set with three other vacuum cups. I have had a few people comment the price was “over the top crazy”. After seeing the kit in action they admit it is functional/cool/useful and can do stuff they never imagined but they still think it’s crazy expensive
