It was Super Bowl Sunday early am when I saw the ad for "tools for sale".  At 9 am I was looking at a well equipped woodworking shop at the home of a elderly man who could no longer use his tools.  No one else had called or came by (the game) and I bought everything for 5k, including most Festools and their accessories.  As a general contractor  I was too busy building new homes to even unpack it until recently, and knew it wasn't for the monkeys I round up on the job each day.  Now I'm the monkey.  I'm impressed with Festool but am having trouble (ie slow) figuring out its many rail and table components.  Is there a user friendly "how to" guide for each and every clamp, template, stop, guide, arm, fence etc. that I have in all these boxes? Here in Honolulu we have very few opportunities to buttonhole a rep--like twice a year.  The building slowdown has me interested in learning this system.  Thanks

Here is a good place to start, John Lucas has written some very well documented articles, and is accompanied by lovely assistants.

And you can start by writing down the names on the boxes and the guides etc., and just run them one by one through the search function of this forum; I don't think you'll find anything that isn't discussed here.

808tradewinds,
There are two ways to go here.  As Frank-Jan suggested, you could go one by one through each of the items you have and enter it into the forum's search function.  My guess is, you will find hits for at least most of them.  For anything where you don't see information, start a new discussion about it!  That's a great way to get more information going.

Or you could push for a full how-to on the whole series, and maybe fellow members will jump in to accomodate you!

How does that sound?

Stay in touch,
Matthew
