For those of you using a Nilfisk vacuum with your Festool "instruments", what is the inside diameter of the port on the vacuum body where the hose is attached?

I'm hoping the answer is about 58mm or 2-1/4".

I am considering the purchase either a Nilfisk model Aero 21 or the more powerful Attix 30.

Thank you in advance.

Jack

I have an Aero 21 and the receptacle in the vac accepts a standard 2 1/4" hose connection.

Ooooh, great!! Exactly the answer I wanted to read.

Thanks very much.  [smile] [big grin]

I had to sit out the measurement part of the answer here. I can tell you that I have a CT26 and three Nilfisk Attix 30 /8 SE, and all the hoses are cross compatible.

Thank you guys for your much appreciated input. A Nilfisk Attix 33-01 IC has been ordered. My wife will like it too–her favorite color is blue.  [wink]

Immediately prior to the millenium Festo used to "badge engineer" & market Nilfisk Alto Wap vacs as their own.  These days they do the same with Kraenzle's range, a company they acquired a few years ago.

Development of new vacuums is a fairly expensive & technical business, presumably requiring fairly liberal R&D expenditure that is beyond the financial capabilities of most SMEs beyond the 3 or 4 true german vac manufacturers.

Your Festo hoses will still fit both old & new N/A/W vacs, just as many of their past, present & future accessories & ancillaries will likewise be cross-compatible with the Kraenzle/Festo range.
