Not really a review of the new T15+3 battery

My new T15+3 drill arrived Friday, with a nice surprise.  I do not remember seeing it mentioned here yet, but both batteries have double-ended belt hooks, which can slide so the hook is on either side.  The mount can be rotated 90 degrees to remove the hook from the battery.  I'll try to post a picture tomorrow night.  The hooks do not show in any of the pictures on Festool's website yet.

The new C series drills have these clips and this is the first I've heard that they are now on the T series drill, very cool.

Wonder if the clips can be added to the original batteries?

*Reaching across desk to grab my T12*... Uh, nope. There's a small square-ish plastic tab on the bottom of the newer batteries used as a retaining mechanism for the belt clip. Not on my battery, so I don't think they can be retrofitted based on what I'm seeing.

I have an older Bosch Impactor driver that has what passes for belt hooks on the batteries and thought it might be a good idea, that is, until I was working on something on a hot, muggy day and went to hook the battery on my jeans, when my jeans took a sudden trip south.  [eek]  That ended that idea.

So, I gather you're off the thongs and back to boxers?  [unsure]

It doesn't work 'cos your link is broken. Try this:

Your original post title has an exclamation mark on the end. This gets removed by the software if you're not careful, as it thinks it isn't supposed to be there.

Yeah I kno it does! But I couldnt get it to stop removing my !/  everything goes blue apart from the !/  I kept on editing but it kept leaving it out.  How did you get it to stay?!?!?!

JMB,

The simple answer is to not put exclamation marks on the end of thread titles.... [tongue]

Seriously though, I found the thread via a search and copied the address. Then I clicked on the 'insert hyperlink' button & pasted the address into the box. Click ok, then when it asks for the link name just leave it blank if you want the address to appear.

But the first method is easier [poke]

Yep, that is exactly what my battery looks like.  No need for any pics now.

I had not looked at that review as I am not even remotely interested in a Carvex, and searching for "belt hook" did not seem to pop it up.

Sorry!

No reason to be sorry, I just do not need one based on what I tend to do.  I have a (really old) Makita pendulum jigsaw that does what I need on that infrequent occasion.
