Thanks Eric.  Very nice of you to share all your ideas with us.  That is why I love the FOG, people don't mind sharing ideas and ways of doing things with everyone.

Rusty

Yes I like also this !

It s sure that some tool mark use our ideas, but doesn't matter. Because at the end, our ideas came back to us.
Exemple Festool are about 2.500 peoples in Germany and around the Word !
Bosch are juste in France for Tools division, about 2.000 ! (Bosch are about 640.000 peoples)

So For me to share is the best thing ! Some people prefer to keep, me not !

See you later for your request ! I will take pictures !

Alan,
I like the Sir Winston Churchill quote "an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty".  Even if we have trouble talking to each other, with pictures, dimenions, and  videos we can figure out what someone is trying to get across to us.

Rusty

Eric,

Thank you so much for the videos for the TS 75 stand.

I really enjoy watching your videos. I bookmarked it last night and watch a lot of them.

Hello,

for Rusty (and everyone), here the link to my site, (special window) for see and download photos from the gizmo.
If you need more tell me, no problem for helping you !

Here

9 pictures !

Thanks so much Eric.  Like I said in my post before even if the language is different pictures are worth a 1000 words.  Now from looking at the pictures I know exactly how the little gizmo (for lack of a better name) works.  I know it probably doesn't matter but what is the center distance from the pin to the back of the gizmo that the rod butts up against?

Again thanks for the pics.  I can see this making it much easier to make an mft type top.

Rusty

You can return to my download page, and edit a new picture.
If I understand correctly your question, I draw a line to show you !

The right way is to be in the hole center with the gizmo (I like the name !) to be right on the center with the Bit for doing the new hole !

Best things,

eric

Thanks again.  If I understand this concept, it really doesn't matter if the router is a little off of right on center because you are using the holes of the mft top as a template, so the holes will be spaced perfectly just a little off from the top.  Am I making myself clear?  The hole spacing will be 96mm, the next row of holes will just have to be 96mm from the first set of holes.  That should be easy to do by using a 96mm spacer to move the guide rail.
I see all this in my head, now I just need to put it to use.
Pictures to come.

Rusty

I like this a lot. I thought about something similar but gave up. Basically the same little attachment to drop a dog in a hole in the exact center of a block like that. I was going to use a Parf dog so it could drop through both the spacer block and the MFT. Now I feel like I HAVE to make it. Just to prove it would work and I am not crazy!!!

Thanks Eric, glad to see you here. I have watched your CMS TS 75 video several times. Glad to see that setup working very well!

au revoir!  Bryan.

Yes the Festool system is great!
Then it must indeed be seen as a starting point, because we all have different needs.
And as how to work better is a big plus! Because then when we are right project to have things on hand, and when things are at best is a comfort!
In the coming weeks I will continue to change my workshop for optimized passing and catching suction hoses.
AS 3.5m X 27mm X 36mm and 5m AS!
Happy to be with you!

Take care, all of you

One more question Eric.  What bit did you use to drill the holes in the extension?

Thanks,
Rusty

Thanks Eric.  I can't seem to find a place in the USA that sells these bits.  Anyone have a source?

Rusty

I m sure that you will find CMT Orange dealer in USA ! They have good documentation about Bit and Also Blades.

I have 3 CMT Blades ! 2 for TS 75 et One for my Radial saw. There nice to use and for CUT PVC and Laminate, it s better than TF 60 from Festool.

Have a nice day !

eric

Hello Tom,

what do you think about CMT product ?

I have other things from CMT.
Jigsaw blade, Biscuit blades, Domino, and it's working good !

Just ordered the CMT router bit that Eric uses to cut holes for his extension.  I ordered it from Tom at Tool-Home. If your interested it's the 20mm CMT 174.200.11  Tom can fix you up.
