Wow, did that fill up fast!!!  I got the email announcement that was sent at 3:02 this afternoon, and managed to sign up at 3:50 before the class was filled.  Who else made it into the class?  I'm going to offer the suggestion that we all get together at the hotel on the evening of Wednesday, November 2nd, and walk across the street for dinner and to tell "sea stories".

What are you talking about.... ??? There are only ... 12 Festool Tool owners....  [scared].

All joking aside there could be many more classes and they would all fill.  To think of all those Festool Tools sitting unused most of the time....  :'(

I would love to have a trailer filled with all the Tools at a Festool training site and travel around helping people understand them...

But there I go thinking....

Cheers,
Steve

Now, that was the class I wanted to attend but...it was not to be.  I was able to sign up my employee for the D&D class though.  Better luck next time I guess. The weird thing is, I checked this morning but no new classes.  I guess I need to have a computer with me at all times and check every 30 minutes [eek]

I remember talking to Steve Bace about a class in Solid Surface Fabrication in November 2010 during the 2 classes I attended the same week.

By absolute good luck I happened to look at FOG less than 5 minutes after Shane posted the sign-up for the Solid Surface class in February 2011. I immediately signed up for the class, knowing that if there was a schedule conflict I would be sure to make it to SS class.

That class was filled within an hour.

A valued FOG member living in the Mid-West tried to sign up for each of the first few Door and Drawer class in Lebanon. He considered himself lucky to sign up in time for the May 2011 D&D class in Henderson, NV. That shows total dedication.

Trust me, your time in Cabinet Class in Lebanon will be marvelous. For sure Brian "The Sedge" Sedgeley will instruct you. Possibly Steve Bace will fly in from Henderson as an additional instructor.

For our D&D class and for our SS class we organized a pre-class gathering at Sunset Station Hotel. Those add so much to the experience. It also is ideal to organize a post class gathering.

Just by chance I checked my email about 3:30... within a half hour of the class postings.  I immediately signed up for the Doors & Drawers class knowing from experience how fast they go.  I had my mind made up long ago that if the opportunity arose I 'd be using my 2 days of vacation so acted upon the opportunity.

I was signed up for the Henderson Doors & Drawers in May, but my connecting flight through Chicago O'hare was cancelled due to the wild weather the midwest was experiencing around that time (with no other connecting flights available out of our 1 terminal/2 flights a day terminal) so I sadly missed the course.  This time I will likely be driving to Indy or driving 3 hours first to fly out of Green Bay, WI; a much larger and more reliable airport.

Corey,

Indeed, when you could not reach the D&D class in Henderson, we did drink glasses of soda in your honor.

Trust me, you were missed. It is marvelous that you will be participating in a Lebanon D&D class.

How do you get those emails?

Guys, there a literally hundreds of people who have subscribed for these notifications. Sometimes the classes do fill extremely fast. While it may be frustrating at times, I've tried to make it as fair as possible so that folks have a chance at attending a class that interests them.

I added the new class listings this afternoon. So, they weren't there this morning. A notification email went to subscribers shortly after they were added.

There should be several classes added for the Vegas training center in the near future I would think for those looking to attend classes on the west coast.

Don,

Not this time.  I have already taken that class and I find out about the classes vie email just like you guys do and I would have been hours too late in registering.

Have fun!

Sorry you didn't get in, Gary.  [sad]  I carry a BlackBerry pretty much full time, and  that's how I got the email.  Better luck next time it's offered.

I will try to keep a much closer eye on this. I learned that the last class offered had 6 to cancel so 6 more signed up. Plans change for people, especially in this economy.  So, I will watch much closer this time. It's too bad that a special notification tone on both the computer and cell phone would not alert us to the class offerings ;D
