Oak Stable Door and frame

Recently completed project to manufacture and install solid oak stable door (style) and frame.
Client delighted.
There decor style is quite "eclectic" but the door goes with anything!!

Hey Scott,  A really a nice job there. This takes me back a bit. I haven't seen a door like that in a long, long time.  My grandparents had one when I was young (late 60's). I see them in old movies from the 40's, 50's, and 60's, but it seems like they fell out of style after that.

The weird thing is, I recall these types of doors were called "Dutch Doors". I never thought about it until just now: how did it get that name?

Hadn't heard that description over here (Scotland) but checked it out and found this..www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dutch_door
 
Great looking door! Didn't realize it was a Dutch door till I saw the second picture.
The last time I saw one of those was on an old tv show called Mr. Ed. Always wanted one of those doors.
