On the create a post or topic page.

1.  Click "Attachments and other options".

2.  Place curser in the location in post that you want the picture to appear.

3.  Click "Choose File" .

4.  Choose and click to open the picture you want from your computer. The picture file info should pop into the choose file  box on FOG.

5.  Use the drop down that is adjacent to the "Choose File" box to choose insertion type that you want. Probably "In line Full Size Image". A bracketed "Attach Img.." will pop into the post.

6.  Reposition curser to locate the next picture in post.

7.  Repeat #3 - #6 for each picture. Put each picture in a separate Choose File box. Add more Choose File boxes as needed by clicking more attachments under the Choose File box.

Note --- pictures that are very large may appear rotated or may be too large for the system and cause other anomalies.  If this happens resize to a smaller size.

I'll believe this actually worked when I see the post. But so far so good.I did not have a browse option. It said choose file which took me a while to figure out.

Thank you very much for this post. This is the first time in over seven years that I have been able to post a photo. Shane once spend some time with me, but by the time I got home I still couldn't make it work.  Some problem, such as the browse/chose file, would bring me to a screeching halt.
Again, thank you very much.

Maybe "Choose File" appears instead of "Browse" on some operating systems?  Not sure. I'm on Windows 8. Not sure what appears on mobile devices either.

Let's see if this works...

[attachimg#]

This method does not work on Safari on a Mac.  The only way I can get an inline image is to use the inserting# tag.

[size=14pt]With 'Insert as full size images', frequently after you edit the text the image will appear to have disappeared after you save.

And instead you get the message 'attachimg=1' in brackets in your post.

[attachimg=1]

If this happens, refresh the page.

[size=12pt]This experience is based on IPad and Safari.

from a newbie FOG member the tutorial is really appreciated - thank you.
On the other end: how can I easily enlarge a thumbnail picture in a post without having to save it and enlarge it off-line?

Try clicking on it and see if it will enlarge.

I'm was uploading a 4mb Jpeg picture but I kept getting this error:

"Your attachment couldn't be saved. This might happen because it took too long to upload or the file is bigger than the server will allow.

Please consult your server administrator for more information."

Can anyone tell me what is this error?
