Can’t add picture to My post. I could a couple of days/ weeks ago from my iphone. now it’s says something along the lines of “image couldn’t load because it’s took too long or the image is too big” or something like that.

Trying to upload them full inline image or thumbnail didn’t work. [attachimg=1]

How do I fix this? Tried logging out and logging back in.

Test:
(Test didn’t work)

I had similar issues. Could never get photos to post but did get the iPhone to post. Once. And then never again.

I finally figure out how to reliably get pics to post. The key is to reduce the image file size. This forum demands files less than 1MB in size. But if you post anything larger than 900k it doesn’t work. But I have reliably been able to post any image below 500k.

I use a Mac and I will use the Preview app to export the pic file and use that to make a smaller jpg file.

I’ve had no trouble posting picture directly from my photo before. That’s strange. Also, I’m on my iPhone, don’t really want to log in on computer, transfer photo, reduce the size, etc.

[member=78111]sebr023[/member] I hear you and I think it sucks. I gotta download the pic from the iPhone to the Mac, convert it from whatever this HEIC format is to JPG, then re-export it to a smaller file size and then post.

It sucks. But I guess that's what is what with this old forum software. Otherwise, I get error messages when posting.

On an iPhone you can email yourself the images.  After selecting them, at the top of the screen at the left click on the option button and then chose "most compatible".  Then email and choose a file size of less the max (actual).  Then do you your post and choose the image file.

The largest file size I’ve uploaded (I just checked) was 10.7mb (short video).  The largest file size for a still image was 2.8mb.

What is the cutoff file size that will no longer post?

I  just thought of something.

Let’s test it.

Figured that since I have iCloud back up, each picture would have an “internet adress” that I could probably use to share image?!

Now, if forum are displaying it or not that’s another story.

Edit: tried doing it right above, didn’t work. I used this: (without the space in between the brackets

Hi Peter!

Thanks for the reply.
Thing is, I always take my picture using most compatible, cause in my work, I take a lot of picture and need to import them on pc and it was screwing the process when using “high Efficiency”.

But I do have just check, and the photo taken with my iPhone are 12mb each, ouch!
