OBSOLETE - How do I attach image

Hi,

You can also upload straight from your computer for simplicity sake.

When you are creating a post....

1).  Click the words "Additional Options" towards the lower left of the the text box on the screen.

2).  Click "browse" next to the box that appears.

3).  Double click the file from your computer.

4).  Just click post when you are ready.

Funny Seth, I thought you were too lazy to be bothered figuring out that stuff.  [tongue]

The Old Seth

I am, that is why I upload pics the way I do.  [laughing]

And........  what .... now your reading all my old posts?  Which reminds me I need to start using that feature again.

Not yours specifically, just going through old threads and came across it.  Brice says you owe him.

Sent from my iPhone.  Must be on your end.

Oddly , when I posted an ad in classifieds there was not option to attach an image. In this part of the forum there is . Also if I attempt to start a new thread elsewhere the "attach" box shows up , just not in classifieds. Only option is to insert. Is this a glitch or am i missing something?

Sorry about that. When we did the recent upgrade to the forum last Friday, some of our permissions settings were lost. There are different permissions in the Classifieds section to prevent replies from being posted by anyone other than the person who starts the topic. I have corrected the issue and you should now see the option to add attachments in that section of the forum.

So I attached 3 images and they do not show up. Then I deleted and attached one, nothing.

I sense things might not be fixed quite yet. Alternatively , I could be missing some thing, although it's a pretty simple process.  [eek]

Luzzy,

I know that in some cases, if the image is extremely high resolution, that the forum cannot handle it. Are your images more than, say, 2000-3000 pixels wide? If so, I would recommend resizing them and trying again.

Feel free to send me one or all of them to have a look and test myself. - sho@festoolusa.com

Shane,

They probably are fairly big since they were taken with an iPhone . I'll resize and try when I get home. I'll keep you posted!

I uploaded a roughly 400kb pic and it still didn't show. The fact that others are also having issues seeing attached images might mean there actually is a problem.....

Please email me a copy of the image(s) you are trying to attach and I'll have a look to see what's going on.
