When I typed the word "s-h-o-r-t" (take out the hyphens ----) it autocorrected/substituted to "bs"

Try it...

Remarkable. I just had the same thing in a post. The word "s-h-o-r-t" got replaced by "bs".

What's up?

I will give you short shrift if you try that short with me.

Happens with the word "s h r i f t" too.

ROFL, I'm curious now Wuffles, why would you need the word "s h r i f t" here?  [smile] Have you been a sinner?

Not sure if you have the expression in The Netherlands, but to give "s h o r t  s h r i f t" means to quickly dismiss someone's opinions. I guess they're linked.

No. I found the problem. It will be fixed. Sorry.

"I'll give you s h o r t  s h r i f t  if you try that s h * t with me" I substituted the last one myself.

Edit: Locks was bang on. Looking at my bird too I bet.

Test.  short That should do it. No big mystery or anything. Just a mistaken key stroke.  [wink]
