OF 1010 edge guide adjuster problem

Bought the precision edge guide adjuster, 488754, and have never had a need to use until today. In past used the OF 1400 edge guide. If I have the adjuster mounted correctly, think I do since I looked at Brice's 1010 accessories review, the thumb wheel is in a lower plane that the base of the router. This causes the router to tilt when used on wide pieces unless I remove the adjuster.

See pic below. I have a 6" scale laying on the base of the router and hopefully you can see the thumb wheel problem.

Any suggestions?

I take back what I mentioned about Brice's review, it wasn't the edge routing accessories review, it was the OF1010 review.

I think that that is just for the rail guide.  I think that you use this part with the par. guide.
