OF 1400 Dust Collection Port

Hi there,
The dust collection port seems to be oversized, as the vacuum hose from the CT 26 does not snugly fit into it and takes very little to pop out. I have the track saw (TS REQ 55) and the vacuum hose seems to fit fine. Suggestions? I'm thinking I may just put a little bit of tape on the inside of the dust port...
Just wondering what the best option is.

Mine is the same that I just picked up recently. It does stay in but it's not as snug as my ts55.

Heat shrink may work. I use wirecare.com

I just checked mine and it's not as tight as on my ts55req.  It's a brand new dust shoot and a newer end on my Ct36.  I will probably just use the 36mm hose.

Hi,

  Welcome to the forum!

    Not that it helps keep your D27 hose attached , but you will find that the D36 hose does a much better job of dust collection on the 1400 router.

I'm sorry for not checking the replies sooner. Thank you, all, for each of your suggestions and taking the time to check your own gear.

I didn't think of purchasing the larger hose, as I didn't even realize there was a larger diameter one out there. I'm new to woodworking and I've been slowly setting up my garage to that long term woodworking shop. Hopefully doing things (mostly) right along the way.

If I hear from Festool, I'll let you guys know in this post if my attachement was larger in diameter than normal. If it's not out'a specs, and the attachement is better designed for the larger hose, I'll probably use the shrink wrap or maybe even a think layer of "Shoe Glue" just to tighten things up just a bit. It's too easy to buy their gear I find... I'd love the domino to be honest.

There is always duct tape...

I've never had trouble keeping my hose on my routers, however, I use reinforced packing tape to build up ports on other vac connections.  I've pretty much stopped using duct tape, if it gets hot, it becomes sticky and when it gets old it dries out and crumbly.  Packing tape works much better for me.
