OF 1400 edge guide backlash

Hello, can some of you please tell me how much backlash you have in the micro adjust on your edge guide for the OF-1400?  On mine, it seemed to be noticeably more than on the guide stops(I can't reverify the guide stops exactly right now as they are set for some work that is not finished yet).

I was able to accomplish what I needed by changing the order of my tasks.  A couple MFK 700 micro adjusters or depth stop collars and a Bridge City Tools Kerfmaker would have made life easier - thanks Paul Marcel!

I have never noticed any on mine.

I just received mine last week and also noticed that there was some backlash.
I don't have the edge guide in front of me, but it seems like it was at least 120 degs.
I did not see anyway of adjusting for that since the brass piece appears to be one piece and there is no way to adjust the edge guide casting.

whitseys, I think mine was a little more than 180 degs, but it is now set up for some repetitive stuff for tomorrow.  I'll check again after I'm done.  I think you're correct that it's mostly the brass bushing and the casting.  There is also some instant slop as you loosen the knob to rotate the micro adjuster.

I can work around it by thinking ahead and advancing it in intended direction, careful use of pressure,  or by using a spacer, or using a different setup all together, etc… I am still super happy with the router.

I ended up eliminating most of the backlash on my edge guide.

I laminated four layers of heavy duty clear packing tape and applied it to the outside of the casting, cutting a notch for the brass bushing.
The four layers were about 0.3mm thick.

There is about 36 degrees of backlash but I think that is due to the captured nut.

It is a great router.

I had my edge guide out today so checked it out, about 160 degrees or so.  It dosen't bother me since you can feel when you've taken up the backlash, like you said, so careful pressure and you'll be fine.
