Hi all
Just picked up a
110v of 1400 router
After watch a old YouTube video review
I noticed my kit only contains
2 collets
And no parallel side fence DUST attachment

Any help would be much appreciated as I don't wanna go guns blazing at my supplier for missing parts

Hi Superchippy,

Check this page. I think you got all that you paid for.

You're probably watching a US video on Youtube - the contents of the kit are different in the UK and US.

Many thanks on replying
I thought as much when I looked around just double check peters video dates back to 2012 festool must of reduced kit contents

Looks like the UK OF 1400 kit is offering the same as the OF 1400 kit in Aus.

I also asked about the missing dust extractor for the parallel side fence.
Seems that Festool have decided that dust extraction is not that important to them any more, as they removed it from the kit. You now have to purchase it as an extra item. I forget what the price was but remember thinking at the time, that they wanted crazy money for a bit of plastic that used to be included as part of the deal.

Guys,

Do not despare about the lack of parallel fence dust extractor.

I find that the top extractor is more useful even when using the parralell guides. My fence extractor has only been used once in around 8 years.

No DB10, this does not mean that you can have mine!  [smile] [big grin]

I purchased mine on Saturday here in Denver Colorado US and doesn't come with the fence attachment they told me its $75 for it. but it came with the rods for it and all 3 collects. I guess the unboxing videos are old or I'm getting ripped off lol

Adamiuna,

Welcome to the forum!  The scope of delivery has changed over the years for the 1400 router.  I know you said LOL but you are not getting ripped off as in missing parts.

I got my UK 240v version this morning, came with 2 collets/nuts 1/2" & 1/4", a clip in 30mm Guide Bush, a pair of parallel rods, side fence with micro adjuster, clip in chip collector (below base) and clip in dust collector (above base).

Added to this I bought the Copying Ring OF 1400, and the guide rail connector set. I have a 1/2" to 8mm reducing collet I can use in the short term but will buy the 8mm collet/nut with my next order (whenever that may be) as I have quite a few 8mm bits including all those for my Leigh D4 jig.

3 years ago I sold my Trend set of 1/4" bits because at the time you didn't get a 1/4" collet in the UK, just 8mm and 1/2" - I believe I was quoted around £40 for the 1/4" collet, so it wasn't a difficult decision for me as a replacement set of bits was less.

I know, they've gone up a few hundred percent in price now it seems, should have held onto them for all sorts of reasons (not least of which is the fact I now have an OF1010 with a 1/4" collet).

Should have held onto them.
