Just became a member and this is first post:

I've been looking for a lighting kit for my router and came across Mirock's great mod.  I want something that is integrated and beautiful, but I don't have time to invest on that.  Thus, I made a hack job and was hoping someone would take it a step further and make a nice bracket to mount it.  So here goes:
1. buy Petzyl Zipka camping headmount LED lamp for about $30 (photo 1)
2. take it apart, using a screwdriver to separate the grey, battery carrier plastic housing from the clear one (just turn screwdriver enough to pop the heatstake weld heads out of the battery carrier). (Photo 2 shows 1 cover removed and 1 complete assembly)
3. unsolder PCB from the battery carrier.
4. touch PCB through-holes with a bit of solder and solder two new wires as shown (photo 3)
5. wrap PCB in black electrical tape to prevent shorting, then duct tape in place (photo 4)
6. put cover back on battery carrier (doesn't snap) and duct tape to side (photo 5)
7. press once for low light, twice for high beams, three times for off.  Doesn't impeded depth of plunge. (photo 6)

there is a screw on bottom of the bracket that holds on the depth stop that could easily be removed, a flat LED back plate installed, and the screw re-attached without major mods.  Can someone make one of those please?

total time to implement: First 2 periods of Sharks/Aves game.
