Question for you LR 32 guide owners.

Is it worth the money for the LR 32 guide set, or should I just get the positioner if I'm not using this for shelf pin holes?  I'm more interested in the guide rail feature to run the router down the ts55's guide rail.

The LR32 will not help you at all to do what you want (e.g. to use the guide rail for dados).  It will only help you position the router in 32mm increments along the rail, and the plate itself is a poor way to run the router on the guide rail (since it will want to "catch" at 32mm increments and you also wouldn't be able to adjust the distance from the rail).

The correct accessory would be the guide stop, as indicated by whitesys.

Perfect!  That's exactly what I needed to know.  Thank you very much!

It's sometimes hard to navigate which accessories perform each task, and my local dealer isn't very knowledgeable.

If you buy your OF1400 as a set you'll get a a rail guide + rods + microadjuster + extract covers + edge guide + collets etc etc

For any 'new' (to you) festool search for the supplemental guides which are packed with hints and tips missing in the main manuals.

This must be something different on your side of the pond.  Here in the US there isn't such a package available all in one.

Oh sorry!

There's almost too many options and packages available; sets, plus and then all the combination offers too.

They do make you guys suffer....
