I can't seem to find a straight answer on this ... will the OF 1400 router work with a Rockler dovetail jig (22818).  The Leigh dovetail jigs clearly list that they work with Festool routers.

Thanks!

According to the manual the OF1400 will take Porter-Cable style guide bushings if you buy/have the universal template guide adapter - then you should be good to go.

I did a "router jig shootout" some time ago and the Rockler Jig was on the list. I used a PC router but PS has already explained the use of the PC adapter collars. The OF1400 should be a great router for the jib.

Hello all, I know this post is a couple years old. But, I just bought the OF 1400 and the rockler dovetail jig (22818).  I was playing around with it today and had no problems with the two working together.  The guide  bushing that comes with the OF 1400 worked with the router bits that came with the dovetail jig.  I am pumped about getting the OF 1400!!!  Love Festool!  I have the MFT/3, CT MIDI, TS 55 and the paralled guide extension system.  I bought the 1400 and the paralled guide yesterday.  I spent a lot of time checking this forum out yesterday.  Let me say thanks to all of you that post ideas on here.  They have helped me out a lot, and will keep me in my garage upgrading a couple things with my festools.  This is my first post/reply and hope to chat with some of you in the future.

Hi Eric and Welcome to FOG!  [welcome]

Glad you're done lurking and have come into the light.  [thumbs up]

Did you get the Rockler jig as the full kit (it's currently in their outlet section at a pretty nice markdown) including the dust shroud?  Even with a Festool router, the attachable dust hood makes a HUGE difference keeping your shop clean(er).  Routing dovetails makes a real decent mess.

Hi wood junkie.  Yes I did buy the rockler dovetail jig at the sale price.  So far, it's a nice jig.  I'm still playing around with it, this is my first dovetail jig.  I don't have the dust collector hooked up yet.  And the dust collector for the OF 1400 router does not work with the plunge depth set to low with the 8mm collet.  If I would make any bad remarks on the rockler dovetail jig, it would be that the dust collector is plastic.  Once it's installed, it holds the work piece inplace.  So I'm kind of scared that if I put to much pressure on the work piece, then the dust collector would break.  We will see!
