Where can I buy the longer screws req'd for the OF 1400 table widener, and does anyone have the part number? I seem to have lost mine.

Home Depot sells metric flathead screws that will work. I am sure the other big box stores do as well.

When I need a few specific machine screws, I always go to Ace Hardware rather than Home Depot or Lowes, etc.  Ace is great for having every size and length and you can buy any quantity you want.

Didn't know about the OF 1400 table widener.  Thanks a lot - You just cost me $90!

Cheers,
Mark

[member=45502]capww8[/member] Home Depot will have them.  FYI, they're M4 screws, with a button head (not bugle).  I measure a thread length at 11.5mm, so I assume any M4x12 or M4x10 screw will work if an exact 11.5 length isn't available.

Yup, skip the big box stores and go to your local hardware store.  I have one nearby that's really good for most of those random nut/bolt needs.
You would think those screws would come with the table widener.  Did you get it second hand?

Even more dumb now...

A) I thought I was trying to buy some of those cool T15/slot head screws

B) while I was posting the original thread, I was looking at the six black button head Phillips long screws, And six short silver Phillips flat head screws rattling around in my 1400 systainer thinking to myself, “I wonder how these got in here”

2+2= the table widened comes with replacement standard base screws with Phillips heads, and the longer Phillips head extended screws

Face, meet palm...

I was downstairs so I took a photo.
Standard flat head screws M4-0.7 x 8 mm.
Widener pan head screws M4-0.7 x 12 mm.
