My 3yo 2200 router is sparking excessively.  One brush much more than the other.  Both brushes are still approx 40mm long and slide easily in their holders.  Router power appears to not be effected.  The face of the brush that produces the most sparks is pitted and its trailing contact edge is ragged - this is where the sparks seem to be generated.

So my question is should I: 1) Ignore it till it gets worse, 2) Replace the brushes, or 3) Send it in to you guys before it gets worse ?

Money effective solution would be to go with 2 in case the router is out of warranty and 3 in case it is still covered or the problem resurfaces after the new brushes from 2 have been given some use.
