of 2200

Hi i just got a of 2200 and it has soot coming from the lower vents . its leaving black marks on the work . has anyone else had it happen ? is it just new and will sort its self out ?

Think there's something wrong. You might get a tiny bit of dust as the brushes bed in, but to leave "soot" on the workpiece seems like a more sinister problem IMO.

Just use for 30 minutes on wood you dont need, I am betting that stops. Sounds like new  brushes thats all.

Thanks for the replys thought it was the brushes have used it for an hour so far will give it a clean up and see if it still happens
