i'm looking in to buying a Festool OF2200, and i was wondering if the same trick as JMB did with his CMS and the OF2200, also is applicable to the
OF-FH 2200.. If anybody already did this, can you please post some photo's?

thanks Rick

Of fh2200? Does the fh stand for finger hurter [eek]

im not sure why you would want it bolted onto that but it should work. a guide bush should work good on its own adn allow the router to turn in the hole for diferent angles as you move along the piece

I've used a guide bushing (Festool calls their version "copy rings" in English) to quickly put the router on and take it off.  I believe it takes a 30 mm copy ring.

Not sure what kind of trick you referring to but I use the OF FH2200 with a OF1400 as an extended baseplate. The only minor thing is the tickness of the transparant plastic but an arbor extension fixes this.  For stationairy work, I use the CMS.  [smile]

Jerry has written how to use it for dovetailing. This modification is still on my to-do list.

I want to use the of-fh2200 mostly to route
grooves in doors to fit multi point locks.. Is does
that without the possibility to break to one side, and with
Extra dust collection.. So really nice for on site work..
My clients always appreciate that i dont make a mess and work
almost completely dustfree..

The trick i'm referring to is the jmb trick. He mounted a of2200 baseplate
to the cms of2200 module so its easy to attach and detach it..
I would like to now if anybody has done the same thing with the Of-fh2200.
If so i love to see some pics and comments..

Thanks, rick

Thank

looking good jmb.
why did you put the guide bush in there.
that looks great, you would easily reach for that anytime you needed it.

I used the guide bush to show people you can with or with out incase people might want that extra security incase the router moves slightly.    You do have to use a trimmer with a radius to take the edge of the OF-FH2200 cus the guide bushes have a round edge which stops it sitting flat.

I got the delivery 2 day  with my New Midi CT vacuum  [big grin]  I unpacked it all and with out hesitation I attached one of my spare OF2200 clip on rings.  If I had to use a screw driver all the time to attach the base I wouldnt bother ever using it.

Thanks dude!

Did u use it already? Do you think the of-fh 2200 is
worth the big bucks?

Thanks rick

Yo!  no not used it yet but from looking at it and I did place it on a 31mm thick  220mmwide   900mm long timber  and clamped the plastic sides to it and its brilliant how the router is safe  it has no chance of falling off you can let go of the router and it stays on no worry that u might tilt the router which to me is massive benefit over using the regular guide  fences.   With the obvious benefit with the OF-FH2200 that you cant run off    I know you can get two guide fences which do the same job but they are more bulky AND they dont stop the router from tipping.
