I picked up an OF1010 router yesterday, it seems like it may have been one of the last ones in dealer stock in the North East.

What a sweet machine!
I bought it to replace a Bosch Colt, because I finally decided that the lack of truly integrated dust collection was a deal breaker.

The general ergonomics are better.
Bit changes are easier.
Dust collection is built-in, and usable regardless of configuration.
Noise is noticeably less.
Plunge action operates more smoothly.
My first test cut looks to be cleaner, but that might be just the bit.

Some of which should be expected for a machine that's double or more the price, but my first impression is that it will enhance my abilities rather than challenge them, and that's a difficult thing to price out.
After many years of dreading "getting the router out", and looking for ways to avoid using one, I may finally have one that turns that around.

Yeah, the OF1010 is a great little machine.  The shorter/wider motor is very stable and feels good in the hand. There are quite a few accessories available for it to make it one of the most versatile routers on the market and the dust collection is top notch. The ability to run it on a track can be quite handy too.

If you get the chance and still find it in stock, the horizontal edging plate is extremely useful, though it must be purchased in conjunction with the angle arm to be made functional, and a insert dust shroud to engage better dust collection.  Makes trimming edge-banding and even thick hardwood edging very quick.

The edging plate is one of my favorite features. (Also works on the OF1400.) My OF1010 is used often, and replaced a Bosch Colt that caused issues.

Yes, as ear3 mentioned, the horizontal plate is a very hand accessory. It has saved me on several occasions where my modified MFK700 couldn't reach. I do prefer the MFK700 for edging and it does the job 95% of the time. It's a bit more specialized though. The OF1010 is more versatile.
