Hey everyone,

Does anyone know if the OF2200 would be compatible with the RS1000 Pro?

I have the OF2200 and would love to get the CMS table but have been looking at other solutions since they're not available.

I have a Conturo MFT and would love to fabricate an adapter plate to mount the OF2200 to the Conturo plate that comes with the MFT, but I've only got as far as drafting the table and the Conturo plate.

Ideally though this RS1000 is compatible with the OF2200 and then I can just get a basic MFT and cut my own top with a relief for the RS1000 to mount in.

Any thoughts?

Hi, the profile plate is still for sale on ekat, plus i thought this was very clever way to mount it to the plate .

That makes life so much easier!!! Thank you!

I got a reply from Shark but it didn’t confirm and deny that it would fit…

“The RS1000 Pro uses our aluminum router clamp that supports most routers with a 3.5" diameter.  Some examples that fit are the Bosch 1617, DeWALT 618, and Porter Cable 890 which are 2.25hp routers.  Since we don't have a Festool here at the shop, I can't confirm if it will fit or not.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

I have never understood statements like that from manufacturers. Especially when, and this is purely my opinion, this is from a company that makes hideously over priced CNC machines made from predominately plastic that the profit margin must be astronomical on.

Once upon a time a company making tools or accessories for other products would actually go to the trouble of obtaining a unit to reference and test against or at the very least borrow one, or even use the time honoured technique of simply asking the vendor to loan a unit for a time.

Yes it could mean spending some money (which you would claim on tax anyway and would be invaluable going forward for other products), or it would be free using one of the other means of getting a loan unit.

In this day and age of the Internet and Influencers, surely someone has a unit that they can loan "for the cause".

That's pretty much the way it works in a lot of custom automotive and motorcycle parts.  When a new vehicle model comes out, usually the first person to loan their vehicle for measurements and fit out gets a discount or first dibs on the new part(s) when they roll off the line.
