OF2200 Ratchet Failure

The ratchet mechanism that locks the shaft has quit working on my OF 2200 - to the point where I cannot remove a bit. Before I call/ship off to Festool USA - has anyone else experienced this? Is there something to check, a quick fix, or simple maintenance trick that I am unaware of?

Out of warranty - Hoping to avoid shipping 2 ways and down time.

Yah it happens. Take the black cover off that attached below the router bit and the shaft goes through. It gets full of saw dust  then just blow it out with air. You should be ok

Good tip about clearing the dust out of the ratchet mechanism [member=10147]jobsworth[/member] . I'll have to give that one a try myself.

I had the same problem that’s how I found how to fix it
