Office Cabinets

Hi,

Here are some office cabinets that I built for my home office.  All of the joints were of course made using the Domino.  The doors, as you can see, are inset, and use Blum hinges. 

I raise the top and bottom panel about a quarter of an inch, which acts as a door stop.  The inside panels are flush with the face frame, allowing the use of European hinges. 

The stain colour looks better in person.  I obviously favour a nice wide face frame !

Looks awesome!  I favor wider face frames as well!  I know it cuts down on storage space but there's something I like about that look!

Love the stain colour.

What you may be experiencing with the color on your PC looking lousy is more likely related to the settings or quality of your monitor.  I have two monitors.  On my Samsung BB store bought one, it shows up orangish and undefined with hardly any gloss apparent bringing out the wood grain.  On my NEC monitor, it shows rich brown, and the grain really pops out better.  Both monitors operate at the same resolution and are both 23 inch monitors bought in the last 3 years.  Most monitors like the Samsung don't render things as well as the NEC which I paid about $100 more for, bought online as I knew that NEC makes better monitors than most based on owning two previous NEC monitors in the last 10 years.  NEC makes monitors for the photography and medical industry, but you need not get their top of the line.  The quality of their technology does trickle down to their lower cost units, which are still higher in price than those bought in regular stores available from other brands.  Well worth it imo when you spend the time I do looking at your screen.
