Hi,

I was just watching a video about the OFK 700 and was wondering if those "flip down" (please see video) attachments are available to us in North America?

Thank you!

Festool OFK 700

Those 'flip-down' parts are a standard part for the OFK700, and are shipped with it (at least, they are here in Europe).

I went to the Festool USA site to see what was shipped with the tool there, but I couldn't find the tool listed. The OFK700 was released over here, and then just a few months later the MFK700 came out, and as far as I can see essentially made the OFK700 obsolete. So I can understand why the OFK700 may not be available over there.

Do you have an OFK700, or are you asking for the MFK700? The OFK700 and the MFK700 share the same body/motor housing, so that attachment (if it were available) would fit on the MFK700.

Yes, I already own the MFK700. And for some reason I think I would like the OFK attachment better than the MFK set up... Not sure if it makes sense what I just said  [eek] [big grin]

Here is the set up I'm usually using: Festool MFK 700

Andreas, like Tom said, components from the OFK are not available in the US/Canada. I'm not even sure if that flip-thing would be compatible with the MFK.

Hi Shane,

this is to confirm the OFK700 parts are not compatible with the newer MFK700, as i own the OFK700 and just went through a questionaire with my dealer.
I was keen on getting the MFK700 -1,5degree  Table to work on my OFK.. took it to the dealer and tried to fit the MFK table withour success, there is a difference in the diameter of the bolts on the motor..
So, no chance to get it to work..  Good thing is..  there are several reason the MFK came out.. one is the much better dust collection of the horizontal "mode".. of the MFK.. another is the better handling of the MFK as it does not carry all the bulky parts on the unit as the OFK does..

kind regards, Mike
