Hello All,

I am looking for some recommendations on a finish for a Wenge project. The piece is a base for a glass sign/art piece I'm making.

Its been a while since I made one of these and I believed I used Watco Danish oil. The wood looks great even 20 years later.

Is Watco still a good way to finish this wood? Is the Festool Sufix a similar finish? I remember the Watco being a fairly simple finish which brought out the grain.

I have HVLP equipment to spray as well, but thinking a finish IN this wood would be better than ON the wood.

The piece will be indoors on display in our office, minimal UV exposure.

Thanks for any suggestions

Phil

Oil or Waterlox in this situation.

I do like the Surfix oil and application system.
