I'm assuming that Festo is the parent company of Festool (formerly Festo Tools)? Or somehow still related?

Perhaps this is one thing we want to stay NAINA!!!!!

Festo robot bird

Let the robotic bird poop jokes begin...

Coming to an army forward observation unit near you...

Seriously, these are really cool, but I can't see any real-world application beyond covert surveilance.

OK, except maybe filming wildlife documentaries. But apart from that...

What is the connection between Festo & Festool.  Same company ?  We own them ? They own us ?  & of course there is Protool ?

Okay who`s typing round the political correctness filter [big grin] [big grin] [big grin] [big grin] [big grin]

Yes Festo and Festool are related.  Here are screenshots that I captured that give the history.  I am sure that your will be interested.  Please note, this information is available on the web and I do not have any details beyond what is illustrated in the images.

Saw this on Engadget this morning. There's a bunch of vids of weird things they make, like rubber "muscles" for robots and stuff like that. Good to know that there is some serious cutting edge high technology at least somewhat related to Festool.

Yes, I hear the next version of the Carvex will be attached to arm of that little remote controlled robot, I can't wait. [tongue]

Maybe that robot will have a bunch of hooks on it too for you Brice.  Then there's no need for that WCR1000.  It can hold em and bring em to ya too!

I'm holding out for the model that will do the work while I sit on a 5 gallon bucket and admire the job it's doing. [big grin]

If we were talking about any other company it would probably be "laughing at the job it's doing."
