One for the Aussies...

We picked up some timber but my search for a #4.5 bench plane came up empty handed. Even the second hand stuff was out of this world on price.

Wife purchased a K5 Kreg jig for me. Very happy. Will set it up on a board this week.

AHHH !!!! [scared] [eek] [embarassed]

I'm finding it very hard not to buy stuff under the pressure of my inbox getting smashed by tantalising offers [sad]

Anyone in Oz folded badly on specials?

"Sale" I doubt, but I'm looking forward to HK85, grooving kit and the D14 fasteners.

Yes it's a promo not a sale. Is there an ETA on the HK85. Wonder what that puppy will set us back. Price of a small car perhaps?

Built a clamp rack on the weekend, used the PS300 a fair bit. It cut like a hot knife through butter, I love that jigsaw.

[member=59890]Grakat[/member] realistically the HK85 should be less than the TS75. In the UK TS75 / HK85 price ratio is 646.80 / 570.00 (1.1347) .. so hoping for sanity from Tooltechnic here, you'd expect a price of $1,195.00 AUD. That'd probably put the grooving unit at about $1,000 also.

If they're reading this .. I'd be attracted by a HK85 combo set with the FSK670 rail, 670 rail bag and grooving unit for a tasty price round $2K [wink]

So is the HK85 coming to Australia because I need to buy a new skill saw

[member=9570]Robert James Ross[/member] I've been told September by a reliable source.

[member=13058]Kev[/member] if your pricing model is anywhere accurate I will be drooling it as well. Festool haven't really got anything in the big saw lineup for rough sawing other than the TS75.

The sword saw is not available down under. I know the HK132 is a beast. I resaw rough lumber to convert it for furniture use, a big saw is a necessity. The TS75 is lower powered than the HK85.

There is also the MKS130, 145, 165 and 185 if you need more depth. None of them are too cheap.

Is that recently available or has it been re released?

[member=59890]Grakat[/member] its recent in green, but was available quite a while back in orange.

I remember them being available in orange. Haven't seen it in green at the local Festool store, but they have been a bit thin on the ground with their stock of late.

I was  in at my Premium dealer today, no sign of them. Just checked their web site, still no sign of them.

I had called in for a Festool #2 Square bit, no sign of them either. Went to their non Festool Store next door and purchased as Irwin and used my Metabo 18V.

There was not even a square bit in the Festool Mixed Bit box. Given that square bit decking screws are a big seller in Aus. does Festool actually make and distribute these anywhere?
