Anyone ever do this, thoughts?

I haven’t but interested in the storage type things and maybe clamps for my MFT.

Wondering about shipping and general thoughts .

I did not check on this auction, but sometimes there is a buyer's premium that is added to the final price.  This is stated up front, but not everyone reads the fine print.

An online auction in the classifieds, if you are talking about a live, active auction isn't possible.  I Members want to do auctions there are other platforms such as ebay that will better serve their needs and also provide at times protections for both the sellers and purchasers.

This forum is not tailored for selling items although we have a non moderated classified area.

Great question by the way!

Thanks guys, I saw the ad on FOG in the classified and was wondering what everyone’s experiences were.  It appears to be a private business that has a large amount of Festool tools and accessories and is downsizing.

Thanks

[member=72021]Thompmd[/member] this is a normal online auction. It is open for bidding now and lots will start to close on 7/19 at 7pm CDT

Please note there is a 10% buyers premium. the auction house will add 10% to your winning bid. It appears that they will arrange to ship smaller stuff, but there is a $25 shipping fee to the auction house plus the actual shipping charges. BUT you need to notify the auction house by phone that you want shipping. You will also probably have to pay Missouri sales tax of 8.475%

You'll also need to register with the auction house before you can bid.

Unlike Ebay there are auto extensions of the bidding if a bid comes in in the final two minutes.

You might want to call them and see what they consider a large item since they won't ship them.

Also factor in the credit card fee.  Unless you send a check, it's an extra 3%.
