This morning I woke up, made my coffee and grabbed the folded up newspaper. I braced myself for another "5 people dead in taxi accident" or "ANC slams DA for Houtbay riots" or the usual terrible news that tends to crop up on the first page.

I flipped over the page to find this:

Picture2.jpg

Immediately I got one of these: [big grin]

I thought to my self "Only in South Africa would you see a picture like this." and laughed. I know it's not something to be proud of but scenes like that are one of the many things that make me love my country. No where else in the world would you see that. Later I had spoken to my mom who told me she saw the guy on the road that she drives every morning. She said that everyone was hooting and giving the guy thumbs up of course he was red in the face.

What had actually happened is that two guys who were riding the cart broke into a house and stole some goods. They tried to get away but the Police caught and arrested them. Of course the police couldn't just leave the cart there so he got the unlucky job of riding it back to the station.

Anyway this made me smile and laugh a bit. Just want to pass around the good vibes.

Classic SA ekse.......... How some idiots think they could out run anyone on that thing boggles my mind.

;D I can just hear the conversation...

Police Chief: "Anyone know about horses?"

Officer "I put their dung on my roses!"

Police Chief " Well volunteered Officer, drive that back to the station, you know more about them than I.!!"

Officer " (thinks-I'll just put my sunnies on so no-one recognizes me) Yes Sir!"
