So I was outside painting a slap-together plywood storage box for the yard tools (affectionately known as the 'ugly box', but so useful!).  Two neighborhood kids around 10ish (OPK... other people's kids) come by begging to help paint.  I let them.  I'm nice.  Mistake #1.

One gets bored and walks the dog in my garage shop; I figure it out when I hear something crash then go in to find him with the dog perched on the drum sander.  D'oh! babysitter fail!  I shoo him out, but he grabs my Festool safety glasses (not the blue Borg ones, no, the green ones...)  I figure, what can he do to them?  Well, how 'bout drop them on the ground when he parachutes off the garbage can right on them.  Monster scratch across the lens that makes my eyes cross when I try to wear them.

You know, if it wasn't for my DC being in pieces for an upgrade, I might have run him through the PM20 planer. Okay, I'm kidding.  I think.  He was kinda fat anyway.

So, fine Festool dealers and Inside Man (dat's Shane)... is there a part number for the lens?  It's replaceable since it comes with a sunglass version, but I don't feel like forking out another $25 for green favorite glasses and I'm not sure if the OPK has enough plasma to 'donate' to gather $25.

funny story,  my dog chewed up the arm on one of my pairs.  glad I bought 2 pair when I did!

-sigh!- tried to make it a funny read, but I'm still serious about wanting the part number to order a replacement... I guarantee my Woodcraft store won't have new pairs... they never seem to have anything I'm looking for that's green.  But I'll be in a Rockler Tuesday.
