Package Pricing Question

To get the 10% discount, do you have to purchase the sander and the dust extractor at the same time?

I purchased a RTS 400 REQ a few weeks back during an event at a local dealer and before the price increase.  I got the tool I wanted and there are no obvious issues with it.  Now I want to get the new CT Mini instead of fighting the hose on the Fein Turbo II.

What really annoys me is the Festool representatives at the event said nothing of the new extractors.  That might have changed my purchase plans.

I think you should talk to your dealer or give festool a call.

Since you have a 30 day no question return policy they might just go with it. If your with in the 30 days give them a shout out.

Depends on your dealer but they should honor the discount if you buy the CT within the 30 days.  I bought the TS75 from Beaver tools and two weeks later I realized that I should have purchased the MFT/3.  They gave me the 10% off since I was within 30 days.  Good luck!  8)

I would ask but I’m sure they would rather take 10% off the Vac instead of having you return the tool and have to sell it as reconditioned

Just a quick update:

I spoke with the dealer/retailer. They mentioned something about FestoolUSA wanting both package items on the same receipt. Not exactly a “no” because they’re going to check on the possibility of offering the package discount.

I take care of the Festool at Anderson Plywood. And I do this for customers.
I return the Festool " what ever it is " put it right back on the receipt and the ( Dust Extractor or Table )
give them 10 % off all is good !!!  If your dealer will not do that you need a new dealer !!!!!
Part of what you are paying for is Customer Service !!!

[member=67630]TheTechRunner[/member], the end result was much like Don Ware described.

I returned the RTS 400 REQ on the original receipt for $260, plus sales tax.

On a new transaction I purchased the same RTS 400 REQ for $270 with the new CT Midi for $531 ($590-10%), plus sales tax.

My understanding is this process keeps the dealer/retailer out of trouble with Festool and it does not have a negative impact on them.
