Got the Parf MkII recently. I am using a CS18 with the quick release tip. The Parf system states that the supplied drills are Centrotec compatible. However, the 3mm bit went into the tip and decided it wanted to stay put permanently. Sorry if this a tired topic, I searched the forum for the same issue, but didn’t turn up anything related to Parf drill issues. Any thoughts?

On a side note. The Parf MKII is awesome. So well made and a joy to use.

Can you remove the quick release chuck? Pull the black collar instead of pushing/pulling the green collar, and remove the chuck while the drill bit is still locked in it. You can then take a closer look and try to ease the drill bit out while pushing/pulling on the green collar.

This will also allow you to rotate the drill bit freely inside the quick release chuck, so in case it's a minor tolerance issue, you should mange to get it out this way.

Kind regards,
Oliver

Tried that. With the tip detached from the gun, I am able to spin the bit with my hand while pulling back the green sleeve. Haven’t tried employing any pliers or other mechanical leverage, just my hand pulling as hard as possible. Won’t budge. Sprayed some penetrating lubricant as well through the back of the tip.
