Mirock,

thumbs up, really super,
and just like PaulMarcel I saw the home made table saw
any chance to see the plans ...
and I'm very curious as well to see the MFT ;-)

MFT so far only in the plans. But I will show you what happens. We must think about how to do. One part of my system, I have done and satisfied. This table router. And his version of MFT will universalize. Be the same profile - T.

system will be based on such profiles. I made them out of rectangular tube, the circular saw.

Here's how I think that's a device used in the MFT - protractor

Good Job Marock, really good job.
You've done SO much with such a limited resources. I can only imagine what you're capable of creating if you had Festools at your service. You have a talent.

Thanks Yuri, I will buy a good tool, but there are things that are interesting to do yourself. For example MFT.

Now collecting material for this. And the tools themselves will buy. TC 55 in the first place.

mirock,

Just found this post. Great methods and thought process!
I agree, sometimes it is more fun and interesting to make something yourself.

Reading this thread has reminded me about a documentary about all the American cars left in Cuba after Castro came into power and how the mechanics have had to adapt without factory parts.  It is called "Yank Tanks".

check out the trailer on IMDB.

That is an extremely clever and accurate lift for your router!  Great job.  We should all make more and buy fewer of our shop tools.

That is a quite some inspiration to me. I'm in the process of making a sort of CMS-table, but with a different lift mechanism. I see a way to use dominos in a similar way. My brain is shifted in high gear.
