Part number for Stop block bolt - Urgent

Very good point, I hadn't thought about potentially damaging the rail.  The Festool rectangular bolt head is about 10mm on the wider side.  I just checked, but unfortunately I don't have any flat washers to test how well that will work.  A washer should solve the problem of evening out the stress on the t-slot (assuming you can find one that fits) right?

I measured the t-slot in the guide rail to be about 12.6mm wide.  The flange on these:https://www.ebay.com/itm/25-M6-1-0-...-DIN-6921-ZY/171972430053?hash=item280a5b08e5:g:26sAAOSwwbdWI8Dq is going to be wider than the slot so the sides would have to be filed off I believe.

Home Depot sells "these flange" type bolts:https://www.homedepot.com/p/M6-1-x-...rrated-Flange-Bolt-2-per-Bag-840078/204283638, but I think 10mm is too short.  The Festool bolt threads is 17mm long.  The next longer size that Home Depot sells online appears to be 40mm long, which is too long.  It also doesn't list the diameter of the flange.

That looks perfect, but it's a long shipping time to the US.
 
3 weeks is not too bad, especially coming all the way from China.

I didn't know it was so difficult/complicated to track down something as simple as just a bolt.  I'd assume you should be able to go to Home Depot or maybe an Ace Hardware and walk out with something that should work (maybe not the exact bolt, but maybe some bolt/washer/whatever combination that achieves nearly the same) for less than $2.

I even commented to the Festool service tech I was speaking with yesterday that it seems like Festool uses a lot of proprietary screws and other pieces of hardware.  He denied it and said most screws are just metric and should be available off the shelf...
 
Since you titled this thread 'urgent'...  If you goal is to get back to work, just drill a hole in a piece of wood and use a T-bolt for a track stop.  Does not have to be metric.

Or forget the block and just slip a bolt in the T-slot and put a washer and nut on it and lightly tighten it down. 
 
You guys rock! So many suggestions. Btw, it was originally urgent  [embarassed]...then I moved to a different project and put this on hold. As I originally said...I tried a lot of different things. The last resort is use the T-bolt (some filing required) from Lee Valley and use a Lee Valley knob to close it. It is sad because I do not like Mickey Mouse stuff and my Festool is brand new (3 months old). The Festool bolt is proprietary...there is no doubt about it. Anybody in EU who can tell me if there is something available there? I am on my way there for a week and I would love to use something to fix my stop and use the Festool knob.

I just got this email response from Festool Service:

"Finally heard back from Germany it looks like they don’t have replacement parts for the new style of limit stop the only option would be a complete replacement part number 491582."

Evidently this is the new style of limit stop.
 
Thanks for trying hard. Yes, I purchased the system about 3 months ago. Thanks for checking. I hate when the mfg do not have spare parts of things that can be easily lost. It is a way to make more money on something that it is already very expensive. I think that it is the expectation of a customer of this luxury product (Festool) to have support on any piece of the equipment or making it easy to find a replacement for a stupid bolt out-there in the market place.  [mad]
Anyway, I will consider that for future product needs. Thank you all for helping!!!
Note: unfortunately the bolt fell in the crack of floor and ended up hiding in the insulation material (paper kind of). I cannot remove the floor planks. The hole got covered after that  [sad]
 
That seems like a lot of work to replace what should be an off the shelf replacement part.

If you're going to go through all that trouble, why not just make your own limit stops from scratch?
 
You are right. However I have so many projects that I was not envisioning to add this one. In particular this is the chick back stop and it needs quite a bit of planning/measuring and try and error. It is quite a molded assembly.
 
After reading through all of this I would really like to see a picture of the complete assembly being talked about.
