Yeah I didn't really want to run the boards same direction but don't want to run parallel with the window due to the light crossing the boards rather than running with them.
I'll have to have a think probably fit them Wednesday wonderering if I rip them up wether to use 18mm OSB
as a cheaper option saying that chipboard probably cheaper than the OSB

18mm ply or 22mm chipboard screwed and glued . Nothing worse than the sub floor squeaking  under your finished floor . It's worth the time and effort to ensure that your finished floor is on the best subfloor possible .I've come across a few dodgy floors and when I explain that everything has to come back up  you can almost see the tears in their eyes.

Ok floor up it is, is it best to use a membrane underneath (joists on 1st floor) & have it as fully floating floor (glue the t&g) or bed on a flooring adhesive?
