18mm ply or 22mm chipboard screwed and glued . Nothing worse than the sub floor squeaking  under your finished floor . It's worth the time and effort to ensure that your finished floor is on the best subfloor possible .I've come across a few dodgy floors and when I explain that everything has to come back up  you can almost see the tears in their eyes.

Ok floor up it is, is it best to use a membrane underneath (joists on 1st floor) & have it as fully floating floor (glue the t&g) or bed on a flooring adhesive?
