PDC gearbox

How smooth should it be swapping speeds/gears on the PDC? Mine doesn't seem to like 3rd gear, it takes a few pulls of the trigger sometimes to get things lined up, happily clicks in to the rest just not always 3. Also speed 1 sounds a bit rough sometimes but other times it sounds smoother. It's not really bad but just doesn't seem quite right if you know what I mean.

It's not that smooth in my experience either. But with 4 gears it's the most complicted gear box I have seen in a drill yet, so there is bound to be some fricton. Sometimes the gears aren't perfectly aligned so you have to wiggle them a bit to drop in.
