I am looking for an odd little bit of material here....I know I can search the internet...get it ordered...but here's the deal.  I need this material for work TOMORROW.  What I am looking for is a phenolic (Or similar type material) board of around .020 thickness.  If you are interested in knowing what for...it is for a foil embossing machine (Kluge brand).  The phenolic board is double faced onto an anvil plate.  The die is opposite.  A two part resin material is poured onto the phenolic board to then be baked together with the die.  This makes a counter die and then paper and foil together pass through the middle and get impressioned together and the foil gets embossed onto the paper.  ..like a silver dollar in this case...  You will probably get this in your mail box not long from now... : )  Yep...I'm responsible for junk mail.

So anyway....got any ideas where I could find something like this? I tried hobby lobby and radio shack (via phone...I might stop in) but they were clueless...

I think I have this material, but my sheets are about 7/8" think.  That proably won't help.  I'm in SW MI, if I can help.

Woodcraft carries phenolic in two thickness, IIRC.  But probably not the thickness you need.

Hey Chris...thanks for that offer....that will be too thick but much appreciated.

I never thought of woodcraft...hmm..I will give both them and Woodwerks a call tomorrow!

Sorry I can't help.  I use the material for jigs and on runners on iceboats.  Good Luck, C Hughes

If woodcraft doesn't work out, check with local cabinetmakers.  There's usually a place within a couple hours drive that sells all kinds of plywoods.  The hours are usually inconvenient, but the prices are much better than places like woodcraft.
