Hello, Foggers!

This is a few weeks overdue, but here finally is the recap of our 2015 Woodworking Show, with pictures!

The 2015 In Touch Tools Woodworking Show was held in the 13,000 square foot shop of our door and drawer manufacturer sister company, Perez Enterprises. The Friday before the show, the shop stopped production at noon, and it was time to prepare the space. By the end of the night, the shop was clean, cleared, and set-up for Saturday morning, complete with a store.

At 6:00am Saturday morning, our amazing team of trainers and presenters started arriving to set up their space, and before long, we were ready to receive guests.

Doors opened at 7:00, and guests starting coming in. This marks the first show we weren't delighted to have the great Carroll Adams, and his presence was greatly missed.

Guests walked into the main doors of the shop, where they could check in and get a preview to a favorite: raffle prizes!

Raffle prizes included Fein MultiMaster accessories, Booster Cables from ProGlo, a Cordless Portable Work Light, Novelty Jet Trucks, a Festool Apron Systainer Set, a Bessey BTB20 Tool Bag, a Senco PC1010 Air Compressor, and a Festool CXS Cordless Drill!

As guests walked through, they were able to check out our store, the great show specials we were having, enjoy breakfast, and visit with other enthusiastic woodworkers. At 8:00, it was time to start the program. Jay Andrews, owner of In Touch Tools, began with an introduction of the program and our trainers.

Dennis Serrano from SawStop got the ball rolling with a live demonstration of the SawStop safety system. We showcased the newest addition to the SawStop family of saws: the Jobsite Saw.

Trevor Berner, rep for Jet, Powermatic, and Fein went up after Dennis. Trevor gave several exciting demonstrations, and showcased some of the newest additions to the products In Touch Tools carries:

See anything on this table you like? Be sure to give us a call!  [wink]

After Trevor, Andy Goldman went up to showcase the latest additions from Kreg, including their new line-up of auto-adjust clamps and the System Organizer. He was also joined by a rep from Affinity Tool, who helped showcase sharpening tools from Tormek.

It was time for an intermission. During this time, guests were able to visit the manufacturer "booths" and get one-on-on and hands-on demos from our trainers. Before we got started with more presentations, we started our raffle. We gave out half of the raffle prizes, the first of which to go was the Festool Apron!

Then, it was time to announce the newest line to In Touch Tools: Senco! George Blanchfield, West Coast Manager for Senco, joined us to showcase the newest Nailers and Air Compressors from Senco.

Following George, we had Lee Shuette of Blum, Inc., Rob Durfos of Tule Peak Timber, and Maria Perez to talk about the work of Perez Enterprises.

It was finally everybody's favorite time of the day: Lunch! A local favorite taco shop catered, and everybody loved it. Wish we had some pictures of this, but... I think we were all too busy with the food.  [embarassed]

After lunch, guests had another opportunity to visit with our trainers, and we raffled away the last of the prizes.

Lars Fackler, Steve Bace, and Allen Kensley of Festool USA gave the final portion of our presentations. We showcased all the new tools from Festool: The CONTURO Edgebander, Cordless Drils, Cordless TS 55, TXS Drill, and the Installer's Set.

The Festool guys are awesome. They brought new t-shirts for everybody. Who doesn't love a new Festool t-shirt?

Now that all the presentations were done, it was time for the "Open House". This is our favorite part of the day. All of our trainers do such an amazing job of setting up a functional "booth" space to hold full-fledge demos for customers. Their efforts, along with our amazing guests really help elevate this show into a small-scale trade show.

The Open House ran for a few hours, and everyone soaked in about all they could. They made their way into our store to take advantage of the sweet show specials we had going on and to check out all the awesome items they didn't even know existed.

Finally, the last guest left, and it was the end of the 2015 In Touch Tools Woodworking Show.

On behalf of everybody at In Touch Tools, thank you to all of the Foggers for your continued support of In Touch, and to those of you who joined us. Several of you have been attending our shows since we started in 2011, and we have no words to express how grateful we are. We hope to continue working with you for years to come, and we look forward to seeing you at this year's show!  [big grin]

For anybody who wants to receive notices of our shows, please send us your info to info@thefestoolstore.com. We hope to see more of you this year and share in these experiences with you!

Congratulations on a successful EVENT!

Sorry to hear that Carroll did't make it.  He is such a treasure and unique guy.

Peter

I was there for the show, and, as usual with In Touch, it was great.

There were lots of new tools to get a hands-on look at, and a lot of good conversation with vendors, In Touch employees and other attendees.

I picked up a couple of items that were specially priced for the show, which is always nice.

I have been attending their events for quite some time, and they are always worth the time.  Aldo and In Touch are great to deal with.

Thanks for a great time.

Steve

It looked like a great time. Im gonna get there one day and buy Aldo a beer......

Hi Aldo, Maria, Jay and Everyone!

Trust me, at 7 A.M. on 12 December it felt so strange to be at home and not parked at the In-Touch big day! Sure, since the problems with my right hand started I have gotten used to not doing everything I always did. But not seeing so many long-time great friends still upsets me.

Your photos are marvelous! Those made me feel better. I've never seen the drawer and door facility. Yes, it is true that I started my own cabinet plant as an excuse to build doors and drawers.

My goal for 2016 is to find ways of going places to which I used to drive easily, such as Palm Desert and Las Vegas. At least I still can drive for an hour at a time, so perhaps a train and rental car?

Glad to know everyone had a great time and swell food.

We'll have to figure out a way to have you at the next one, Carroll.
