Planex sander set up connecting to compact sanding system?

I purchased the planex with ac dust extractor system.  This set up comes with a hose with a collar on the end.  I am wondering if there is an addaptor that will allow me to hook up with the compact cleaning set.  I do not want to have to buy a new hose, or upgrade to one of the larger cleaing kits.  I'm hoping for the $25 fix rather than the $80 upgrade.

I have the same issue. I was thinking of cutting notches in the handle to accept the Planex hose.

I'd rather have some type of adapter, that way I could hook up to other tools as well.  Odd that the Planex isnt't compatible, from what I gather, all the other tools are relatively interchangable.
