I wanted to scrape the front faces of the sides of a picture frame I am building. The miters prevented me from racking it on the Roubo bench.
Usually I don't plane on the MFT/3 because it moves with the shear force especially with figured woods. The multi-clamps can't hold it either. In this case I was using a scraper plane so there was a lot less shear force.
The photo shows what I came up with. It worked very well. I'm confident others have used this method but I just discovered it myself.
