We just finished a bathroom tile job, and one challenge was wrapping the decorative glass tiles around outside corners.  We didn't think cutting outside miters was a good idea, so I called Tom Bellemare and asked him which abrasives might work with the Rotex to help polish and shape a bullnose profile on the cut ends of the glass tiles.  Tom recommended this assortment:

I'm happy to report that this assortment works wonderfully and the customer is thrilled with the results.  It's hard to tell that the glass tiles had been cut and bullnosed on the jobsite.

I'll try to get some pictures to post later this week.

I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures. I did a glass tile job on my own bathroom a few months ago, and had to jump through hoops to avoid having any cut edges exposed. I wish I'd thought to try the Platin on the tiles... I'd already used it on the acrylic tub to get a scratch out.

Hi Mike, if you're still out there...I took pictures with my camera, but the quality was terrible.  I'm on another job with glass tile now, and will bring the good camera and try to get some pics for you.

I was using the Platin on the glass tile today, and have learned that I need to reduce the speed of the Rotex.  Other than that, it has worked well and the finish is as "smooth as glass". (sorry for the pun) [scared]

Les, for the glass tile I worked on yesterday...I started with the 500 and then went through to the 4000. I set the Rotex to speed setting 1.
