Please Test Upload Functions!

I had cleared my caches before trying last time. I just tried clearing the caches and doing a restart. Still no help.

I haven't been able to see those buttons since I first reported a problem back on April 25th. You had reported it was working again and I tried but there were no buttons then (april 27 or 28?). I've been trying daily since then but they have never come back.

I don't if that helps you or not but sometimes the more information the better.

OK, I just made one more change to the database that might fix the problem.  Everyone, try it again.

If it still doesn't work, I'll have to say stumped on this one.  I'll have to check in with the technical sites and report back later.  Until then, those of you who want to upload photos can sign into the forum as "test," then go to the Gallery and upload photos into your album.  Then, of course, you'll have to sign out, then sign back in as your real name if you want to put the photos in a post.

Here's the sign-in information for test:
Username: test
Password: test

In the meantime, I'll figure this out either tonight or tomorrow morning.

Matthew that is so weird it works when I sign in as test and not as my user name. Anyway, thanks for that, it' fine like that for me.

Still no upload buttons. Don't give up Matt! Rest and think about it over the weekend.

Just like Nick, mine works fine when I log in as test. So that seems to rule out anything on my computer.

But it doesn't rule out my profile. Could something in there be an issue?

Matthew, I am sorry for all the problems you are having with this.  I know how frustrating things like this can be and I really appreciate your efforts.

All right, I was going over all the permissions in the Gallery last night and found a setting that I think (hope) will solve the problem.

Yes!  ;D

I've now got the Upload and Java Upload options, and have successfully uploaded a file to my gallery to prove that they worked.

Hopefully the other members who were having problems will be able to do the same.

Excellent!  I'm glad it is working for you now.
It should work for everyone else as well, since their permission settings were the same as yours (I won't bore all of you with the technoadministrivia).
