Hi,

Wondering if you guys can help. I've just bought a Lamello and want to connect it to my festool vac/power cable. It appears they used to do a female electrical connector on a short lead but now seems discontinued?
Is there any supply of these or an alternative?

Many thanks

Jon

I cannot help with the connector, but I have been considering buying a Lamello. What projects are you planning to use it for?

Hi,

I'm going to be using the lamello for connecting frames onto the front of kitchen units. All frames and units are to be painted first then connected, the client wanted 2 different colours. I wasn't happy trying to bond the 2 painted faces together and using the domino would have required pressing the two components together. Using the Lamello clamex fittings means I can create a structural connection without bonding.

Also, Protrade currently have them on a black friday deal. They were the cheapest before the discount.

Not sure if you found it earlier, but there are a ton of resources in this thread, even though it says "USA Version":

Unfortunately, as you mentioned, the pigtails are discontinued.  That thread has alternatives, from installing directly into the body to using the internal connector with a 3D printed overmold connector.

Hopefully someone with direct and recent experience will be able to chime in, possibly even with a spare to sell.

[member=80831]ScarfJoinery[/member] Can't help you with your query I'm afraid - but I just wanted to vouch for ProTrade if you haven't dealt with them before. I've bought a ton of stuff from them over the years and they're almost always cheaper than anyone else apart from FFX, who are cheaper on Festool and Mafell. They also have a great service department who turn repairs around very quickly.

Always good to welcome another Brit on board [smile] BTW it's worth editing your profile to show your country of origin - Festool supply different kit to different continents, and knowing where you are helps others to help you.

Hope you get fixed up.

USA version is just a slightly different connector, nothing else.

I have a European one in a closet for the past... ~14 years...  :o

UK is outside of the EU these days. Dunno how that works tax-wise on his end.
