Polishing/Wax to REDUCE Gloss

Scuff then coat with satin poly. You'll get the durability of the gloss, surface sheen of the satin.

Steel wool is traditionally used to reduce gloss. After rubbing with 0000 steel wool, use compressed air to blow away the particles, and then buff with some paste wax. I use Antiquax and rewax once a month. You'll have a beautiful satin top in no time, and its durability will surprise you. The wax dries very hard.

I don't like the look of that product you linked to. "Dual-purpose product" usually means it does neither purpose well!
