Polymer nails

Guy's recent topic about 23 g nailers reminded me that I want to look into the idea of polymer nails. Since I am incompetent over the years I have ruined a Lamello biscuit blade and a domino cutter on nails that I had previously put in the wrong place. Anyone tried the polymer nails whic in theory overcome this problem? I see Omer do a gun for them. Do you need a special gun? Do they hold Ok ( I generally only uses brads in addition to house)

I just saw those the other day.  They are getting popular here with guys that do a lot of work with Azek or synthetic decking.

You can mill right through them like they are not there.  I know the Omer guns cost about 400.00 bucks for those nails.
