Hi,

Anyone know if it's ok to mend/splice a polyurethane air hose with regular barbed connectors and stainless hose clamps?

Thanks,

Pete

as in the poly 'coily' hose? yes, but YMMV and it might take 5 tries.

As for the braided poly hoses, yes, with significantly better results.

Absolutely! All day long. you will find that with some of them, when you break down the fitting, it can be re-used without necessity of a hose clamp as the backup nut acts as the clamp.

A hint on installing the fitting warm up the hose w/ a hot air gun/hair drier or boiling water before you install the fitting.  I've found it makes the poly more elastic.
