Porter 300C 16" jointer, cool video

I picked this up on Thursday.  I did not realize that it was hiding a really rare factory option. 

It is an excellent example of the typical Porter 300c 16" jointer, until you turn it off.

It has a factory brake, well what they called braking in 1942. 

It has a reversing starter that is tied to a pendulum switch on the opposite side of that pulley below the motor.  When I hit the cut off switch the reversing starter engages and when it comes to a stop the pendulum switch cuts out the reversing action. 

Lots of wires, parts and switches.
